Pro90 owner needs scanner

I have a Canon Pro90IS and an Epson 875DC Photo printer and I want to stay with Epson and get one of their scanners.

Is the Epson 2450 scanner going to be $150.00 better than the Epson 1650 Photo scanner?

How well will the 1650 Photo scan negs compared to the 2450?

I am new to scanners but want to buy a good one, I understand that I should stay with the same manufacture as my printer.

you have a digital camera...shoot what you need with that then transfer by ubs from the cam or a card reader?!
