Daniel, killer shots of some gorgeous women. Konrado, love that shot! The colors and bokeh are just fantastic. I'm got models lined up this week and next along with weddings back to back the week after so it's going to be a fun and busy next few weeks.

The lens is just awesome. Almost none PP on this photo, just sharpened a bit, it is almost SOOC. It just sucks light, there is nothing but natural light here, not even reflectors.

I think this works well as is. Wonderful new take from the color version on your Flickr. Audre has such stunning hair and eyes, but as always, I really enjoy well executed bw. I have just recently learned how to really amp up the bw shots of people by increasing the orange and red to bring their faces out.

Thanks Al, nothing is worse than second guessing what you thought was a finished shot haha. I don't know if I could still shoot if it weren't for digital.

Thanks! She's definitely a stunner and the colors pop so I was hesitant to try and owrk on a B&W headshot but she really wanted one so I had a go at it. Glad you like it! I actually duplicate the layer for the B&W conversion and apply the red filter on top of the plain B&W layer and lower the opacity and fill until I'm happy and you're right, it makes a ton of difference. I've been doing that for about 6 months now and it really brings some light to an otherwise dark portrait.

Like you said it might fall under the $50 or $25 rebate in the winter, but I doubt that you find any substantial discounts on it.

They are all great, but this particular shot is one of the best I have ever seen. Absolutely priceless. It helps to support my opinion that the 135 f/2 is the most flattering portrait lens, and really helps you capture the moments without getting too close to the subject.

Wow, thanks for the kind words. I try and tell as many photographers as I can about this lens. It really has to be put on the camera and shot with to really understand how fantastic this lens is. I find that I do less touching up in post with this lens than any other lens I use or have owned in the past. It's the single best lens and I couldn't imagine a better one.

My 135L is almost glued to a 50D. I like the extra reach it provides so it kind of act like a light weight alternative to one of the 70-200 f2.8 but with one extra stop of light to get better subject-background separation :D
