Thanks! I have a few lenses but I think this one is the best portrait lens ever made... I like it better than the 85L as far as portraits are concerned. I just got it yest, er, day before yesterday.

I just got this lens in the mail (used) yesterday... and I have to say the bokeh it can create is insane!!! I was stuck inside due to yucky rain all day, but here's a test shot showing off that crazy bokeh.

This morning looks a lot less cloudy, so if I'm lucky I'll get to do some more test shots outside in the sun during lunch...

Poor lighting, shot wide open, slow shutter, hand held. Odds are the image won't be sharp. Needless to say, I'm pretty happy with the results.
135L - what a lens!
Shot at 1/80 f/2 - handheld.

Playing with selective focus, 135L on the MKIII with extension tubes in the soft light after the sun had gone down, had to boost the ISO to 400 and 640. I was suprised I could hand hold it as well as I did without IS and the equivalent focal being 175mm, it's just a very wonderful lens, not too heavy, easy to use and I'm sure if I had a different focusing screen in this borrowed MKIII it'd be even more fun with the manual and auto focus as it's just that much easier to see. I've got one in my 5D and love it.

Helena - VERY nice job on #4 with the boats. I love the contrasting highlights against the subtle shadowplay detail of the docks. That diagonal soft silver gangway really sets up an interstesting angular contrast to the other horizontal lines. You obviously put a lot of thought into this composition. - Stu

Thanks for the photo compliment! She is kind of a wild dog, she was beaten and neglected pretty badly by the previous owner. I just don't understand why people treat animals like that.
One of the farm cats will often curl up on top of the dog for a nap. I can't wait for that photo opportunity.

I just got this lens last week. My first L lens. I was walking around at Universal City Walk this past weekend and took pictures of the street performer. I am quite happy with the result. I think this lens has a lot of potential, I am still learning to use it and just scratched the surface.
Also on 50D, this lens is a perfect outdoor candid lens. He never noticed being photographed until I told him and bought his CD.
