Well, This is a second posting of my little breakfast club. Every monday my kids and I go out to a little pampering as a local restaurant. No no mine, but its still lots of fun. Snapped on my trusty Tamron 28-75, sure glad I took it off the market as it is amazing on a FF body.
My son was not cooperating today but I think I like the one I posted of his non-compliance.
Your CC is welcome.
Going for a shot to tell a story here. Left in some forground objects and back ground stuff. Shot at 28mm. Maybe this just speaks to me due to my restaurant backgound?

I am a sucker for her. Sure you can have extra syrup, jam and granulated sugar. What, you want a large OJ too? Ok.

Nice captures, Dante.
I thought that Tamron would be great on a ff like the 5D.
I bet the new 24-105 f/4 L IS would be a dyne-o-mite walk around on the 5D.
Winning the lottery would also be nice :-)

Cute shots Dante. In the first one I like the way the table is distorted (for lack of a better description!) so that the eye is drawn up to your daughter. Very nice. :)

#1 really does tell a story, nice job. I like the wide angle as well. It emphasizes how little she is at the table.

Thanks. Glad it speaks to more than just myself. The voices do a good job of that already.

Natural light and a f2.8 lens at 1600 iso (maybe 800). This spot has some really nice light. Dark ceiling, bright walls and dark carpet. just works well. typically I would be using my 580 for fill with a lumiquest soft box attachment, but this was good as it. I think it probably could have used a touch of fill. but with out the first cup of joe, I settled for what was there.

Man I am glad that this tells a story. My goal was for it to be a bit more than just a candid. Thanks for making an old bald guy's day.

Oh yeah, Funny thing now is that my little girl is conditioned to close her eyes when I lift my cam to my head, and NOW my cam does not even have a built in flash. I guess I cant hold that against her as I almost always have my 580 attached, but today it was unnecissary. Oldest kid was like, Sydney! Open your eyes, Daddy is not blinding us today!

Thanks again Peachman, this restaurant is a natural for natural light. Moody's? Hell I have eaten there. That place is the BOMB! Each year my family vacations in maine. Usually its at exit 3, the yorks, then down to Rye, NH, the Cape (the one and only). some times we venture upstate. I keep trying to convince my wife we need to move to vacation land, but she grew up in Mass and does not like the cold winters. Funny how I want to leave california and she wants to stay. When we got married she made me promise her that we would move back in 5 years. Now she wont hear anyhting of it. WOMEN!

Ya, that place is a kick...stand in line for 1/2 an hour for the most mediocer dinner meal on the planet, just to visit the place ! Their fried fish things are real good and their pies are terriffic...the rest is reather so so at best...My little buddy is a star there,,all the waitresses want to wait on him to see if they can get him to talk to them or get a hug (which he isn't very fond of in either case) and there is a picture of him on the milk cooler with a Giant bluefish he caught...Hint..sit at the counter,,no sign in or waiting for tables..see ya there ! Ps...please come up and I'll show you the real Maine..Moosehead and north...Acadia and east (that would be the ocean !)Bring your camera..........
