I really enjoy photographing cars, more than anything else. I have had several great opportunities to photo some great cars, example last weekend with 1000 Corvette's in town. I posted a thread in the transportation forum of all the 'Vettes and while I think they are "good" they still lack that professional look. I would like to sharpen my skills and want that pro look. Just not sure what I am missing, all advise welcomed and appreciated.

Here is one pic, C&C welcomed.

Here is a gallary from this event:

Please offer any general advice or tips. Lighting wasn't the greatest due to a harsh early sun and the only filter was a UV. Other cars on the boardwalk I was shooting in a shadow. Fill flash was from the puney built in flash. I know I am missing something and hoping someone can constructively critique my shots.

Thanks in advance.

I like the off-beat vantage point and perspective - very innovative.

I also doubt that the flash contributed anything - which is probably for the better.

I really like it, and the only thing I would recommend is to NOT let the tip of the open hood make it that close to the edge - too much unnecessary tension from that. Just a little space there would help.

Composition is off slightly. The top of the hood on the yellow car is barely in the shot. There should be about the same amount above your subject as their is below for a more balanced look. So in your case you should have backed up another few feet.
