Here are some BIG jets hanging out at Houston IAH airport.

I'll let someone else name em' all if you want to give it a try!

Wow!... if I had to hazard a guess I'd say the first is a 767, but I could be wrong. It's the second one that really caught my eye... the picture is somewhat deceptive, as this is an Antanov AN-225 - at one time (and perhaps still) the largest aircraft in the world. Don't know how many were built, but one way or another seeing one in person is a rare treat.

Nice captures, BTW :)

Edited to add: If you're interested, here's an article. Turns out this was a rare treat, as only one of these massive aircraft exists:

Nice shots. Like the angle on the second - shows hoe big that really is !. The first is a 777 with A340,Antonov 124 and 225, and a 727 in the back.

Interesting... How can you tell it's a 777?

Mostly from the size of the engines.

Compare with 767 -

You can tell the 777 easily by the fact there are 3 main wheels on each side. The size of the engines of course, but the wheels are the easiest way to tell from the side.

Cool shots...

Thanks Steve and Lee - I'm always trying to figure out which jet is which. I wish there was a website that highlighted the ways to tell them all apart.

Kevin.

Kevin. Try airliners.net, after looking at a few photos you will get a feel for the different airliners. The ones that stump me are the DC-9 family (and MD derivatives) :-).

AFAIK, there is only one an225, but they were thinking of building a couple more.
