Have an A70 in the manual says I can print A4 (210x297mm, 8.3x11.7" ) or larger. Can you print larger or is this the limit for a 3.2 megapixel camera ? I am not cropping the images.

you can actually print larger than A4 size depending on your printer capability. however, the quaility will be compromised and the pixels in the picture will start showing up.

If you are taking RAW or Superfine (highest quality) images saved to the Large JPEG size, your 3.2MP images will print fine even at 8x10 as long as they aren't cropped too much. Unless you have a large format printer, making larger prints will require going through a photo printing service or website.
www.clubphoto.com claims to be able to print images from my 3.2MP S30 at a 20x30 inch poster size without loss of quality, but they may be using their own image scaling technology. ClubPhoto can also print 24x36, but if I select that they alert me saying that my image is not hi-res enough to produce a good print at that size. I'm not sure what criteria they are using to judge a good print, but I might order a 20x30 poster just to see how it turns out. I'm very happy with the 4x6, 5x7, and 8x10 prints I have ordered from their website.

A 3.2 MP camera has 2048 x 1536 pixels. If you print at 300 dpi (Fuji Image Plaza Standard - Professional Digital Processing in Indonesia) then you get (2048 pixels / 300 dpi) x (1536 pixels / 300 dpi) or 6.82 x 5.12" for the best result. I have tried to print at 300 dpi and I got very very perfect picture.
If you print at 200 dpi you get (2048 pixels / 200 dpi) x (1536 pixels / 200 dpi) or 10.24 x 7.68". "Human eyes" cannot see the diference between 300 dpi or 200 dpi. I think the limit is 150 dpi. If you print under 150 dpi you may see the image blurry (or jaggies).
The manual will say it can print larger than A4 (2048 pixels / 11.7 inch) and (1536 pixels / 8.3 inch). It's around 175-185 dpi. That's looking fine for "human eyes" but not for the printer. The printer can do more! Up to 300 dpi...
