This is by far the best pic! i took it today, my first ever image with my cammera. Also that i have ever worked on. When my mom saw it she actually started crying becuse she was so proud of me. Because what I wan't to do when I grow up is to be a wildlife photographer and so now i am on my way, and it was my first ever picture! And i shot it with a Canon Powershot A550 F2.6

This is one of my old favorites (not best). In 2005 I had taken my two daughters and one friend to the local high school football stadium for pictures. They were arguing about where to stand. My smallest on the right was voting for the other end of the field. The “friend” in the middle wanted to be by the goal post “thingy” and my oldest on the left was sick of the other two. To know the girls as I do, is to know this is a picture of their personalities. I laugh every time I look at it. (In the end, I came home with some keepers) - DanielD

Robert Frank from the book The Americans.

Stieglitz

One of the greatest photographs ever made.
Adams
http://www.andrewsmithgallery.com/images/misc/ansel_adams.jpg
Moonrise over Hernandez another one of the great photographs plus the story of how the image was made. Adams remembering the ft candles the moon at 3/4s and based his development time of the neg on that info and exposing by experience because he didn't have time to get his meter and was only able to make one exposure before the light that was lighting up the crosses slipped behind the mountains behind him.
Cartier-Bresson

A true example of "the decisive moment"
Weston

Dorothea Lange
http://lakelandschools.org/wphs/erichsen/grapesofwrath/grapes%20images/aa_lange_power_2_e.jpg
A portrait full of expression and experience of what it was like to be displaced by the dust bowl and the great depression. Just an outstanding photograph.
Sorry but I could just keep on going.

This is my favorite picture because I still sit here with the feeling of I can't believe I took that. I shot fireworks and thought that they were OK and then thought they were horrible when I looked in the magzines. I studied for 2.5 months and how to do it.
Just got my camera in May and I am surpirsed by home much a little studying can allow you to take amazing pictures. To tell you the truth I too a lot but I really got lucky with this one.
The full size is amazing in my opinion. BTW no PP was done.

Took this one a short while ago in a disused factory.
The light through the skylight on the upright basin and the basin against the wall really appealed to me.
Reminds me of some of Rene Magritte the surrealist artists work.

Damn Thomas, I knew that somebody would get it, but that quick ?, well done you !!!
Okay well for the 15 points that you now have, keep a hold of them. The chapest item in "the store" starts at 890 points, so once you have reached that tally, get back to me, and I'll send you a "catalogue" showing what you can get.

This picture was taken back in 2004 and is one of my absolute favorite pictures I've ever taken. I love tigers and the rest is pretty much self explanatory :-)
This was taken with an original Canon Digital Rebel ISO 400, f/5/6 @ 1/400th with a very cheap 70-300mm zoom lens. This was my first digital SLR and honestly I didn't know a whole lot about anything.

To sit alone in total darkness on a rocky mountain watching it come into view as the night fell was truly one of the greatest spectacles i think i will ever see.

Yes, the rocks are red in real life, however the reds in that picture are oversaturated. The long exposure time it took me to take that picture kind of stole some of the color, so I added some back in pp. This one is too oversaturated, however I still like it because it reminds me of what I felt like I was seeing while I was actually there.

My current favorite. Because this was my first trip to Monument Valley and the southwest. I like the way the clouds seem to be shaped by the Mesa.

My favorite picture is the one I will take tomorrow.
BUT, until then ;]
I pick this one, mostly because it astounds me still that I took it and because it was taken at Home Depot of all places! :D

My favorite photo is of my daughter at age 18 months or so. Taken in 1990 on a Canon A-1 with a Canon 50mm f/1.8 lens. I'm not sure why, but I keep coming back to this picture as a favorite of mine.

This capture is one of my favorites because it's among the first that I planned and then executed. Also used a different set of skills to get this shot, as opposed to taking a static or posed shot. Hope y'all like it.

These are probably my two favorites at the moment.
1. This one was taken on vacation this week in Galvaston, TX. This was the view from our patio. Shot on a d90 and 85 1.8

2. And, this on is my little Haylee. Hard to believe that she is about to be 3 next month. Shot on a d90 and 50 1.8 i believe.

My Daughter at Ocean Isle N.C. enjoying the beach. This is my favorite pic of her, I was shooting pelicans and turned around to see this shot present itself.
