Hi,
Can anyone tell me what's the price of 10D is singapore?
2. Does 10D comes with an international warranty?
3. Where is the best shop to get camera in Singapore (in term of trustworthyness)?
4.) What is the price for a tamron 28-200mm lense in singapore?
Somebody told me that 10D is manufactured in Taiwan, my concern is whether there is any compromise on the quality?
Thanks you so much.
ps: i m very new to this forum, but find it very useful! Good job ppl! Keep it up!

To my knowledge Canon does not have an international warranty. The Manufacturers warranty is only good in the country, or should I say, area that the purchase was made. For example if you purchase a Canon product here in Canada the warranty will only be honored in Canada or the U.S. and vice-versa.
Camera and other high tech companies have been manufacturing goods in Taiwan for years, the quality is excellent on most of these products because of the manufacturing standards set by these companies.
Besides, if this stuff was made in Japan or Germany the prices would be out of most consumers reach. The 10D would probably be $15,000. instead of $1500. Lets face it , even most Leica is made in the Far East.

PS. I don't think you would be saving a bunch of money if you were to buy this stuff in Singapore, unless of course, you live there.

Take a look at the link below. Several shops in Singapore were quoted. But all seems to be out of stock at the moment. I am glad I got mine in March 2003...

I don't think so is funny...imagine you need wearing the mask daily and fearing when it will come to you.... and worst you know you are dying soon and your family members can't even come to have the last look at you...

It's reality.
And one that is not reserved only for Asia.
I will be doing more than "Imagining" a mask when I travel.

SARS is pretty much contained in Singapore. Except for health care workers (like me) who have to wear masks while working, the majority of the population is not wearing any. You will not see anyone wearing any masks out in the streets.
I had to wear mask when I went to a hospital to see my new baby. That is because I worked in another hosptal and they were afraid I had SARS...... There is picture of me wearing a mask and holding my baby......

They have tele-conferencing in the hospitals at the moment for patients to see their loved ones. At least it is better than nothing.
