That backpack adn the hand are a bit distracting for this shot (would have been better without) but I guess you couldn't do much about them as it seemed like the kind of "in the moment" type of shot. The guy has a very "I'm concentrating hard" look, and the light plays well on that. I like it :)

Dimitry - the blue pack is a chess bag. carries pieces, board and clock. At chess matches, the tables are littered with them.

Sean -- yes, the AI Servo on the 20D comes in handy here, as does the 5 frames per second, to capture peak action. or, maybe 5 frames per hour.
