Need help with my PowerShot A20

hi, i bought a canon powershot a20 frfom a friend and it doesnt come along with a usb and the cd... basically, its just the camera alone... so i decided to bought a usb cable... and i also downloaded the TWAIN DRIVER... after i installed it and connect my camera to the pc and turned it on... it says "the application associated with this event could not be launched..."
whats wrong? do i need to install ZOOMBROWSER EX first? what about REMOTE CAPTURE? or PHOTOSTITCH?

what do i really need to have installed to upload pictures on my pc?

What operating system are you using? Does the computer reconize that the camera is an A20? Did you get the driver from Canon's home page?
Also did you reboot the machine after you loaded the driver and plugged in the usb? Especially after plugging in the usb.

im using win98...
yes i did all that... but my concern is what software can i use to upload pictures from camera to pc? where can i download one?
