Hey, I am a person that takes alot of photos and then in post production i sort out the good ones. I am wondering on average how many gigs worth of memory sd cards you guys carry st oshkosh .... 16gb? 32gb? 64's?

I have an 8gig sd but i know for RAW that wont cut it so i was thinking perhaps 2, 32 gigs idk if thats enough or not with my 8 gig.

Also should i get the 4speed or 10 or what ever that means?:

Do you have a laptop or something that you can transfer the images to?

AirVenture simply isn't like a one day airshow where you can afford to "pick and choose" what you'll shoot (especially if you haven't been there before .. it's a mind-numbingly target-rich environment.)

IMO, you can't really do AirVenture without a way to offload your shots each night.

I refrain from "Spray and Pray" as much as I possibly can and I still shot 14,000 frames last year.

Others I know brought back north of 20,000 and a couple came very near 80,000 but they do have rather heavy trigger fingers (and were using a minimum of four bodies.)

Yah I have been figuring that! So i have decided ill take my computer to offload days 1 and be ready for day 2.... ill most likely but about 40gigs of cards, but the sad thing is that i dont know what the speeds mean. does a 4 work or should i get the 16 gig 10's?

this just saved me from making a thread on this very subject.

Last year I filled two 8 gig cards and killed 2 batteries in one day and I wasn't even shooting RAW. All in total I think I had over 3300 exposures. I'm thinking I'll have to bump up my memory

bought another 16gb today so I'm up to 32 total. On the fence as to whether I'll need more. I'm shooting one day at a time and can offload each night.

At Wings Over Houston I basically was shooting more than not it was a Sat. I took over 1700 pics used a 32gb class 10 and only shot about 5gb worth of pics.
