So what tripod is Omar looking at? Kind of confused as to what he's looking to buy.

he finds the 3541LS top plate too big, he said he thinks he saw the 3531S in there with a smaller plate. I figure all 3 series systematics have the same size top plates....

so he must have seen a 3531 (non-systematic) tripod... with the center column.

Bcoz' you don't need it. After using my 1257 with center column for 5 years, I've learned not to depend on it. The issue with a center column is increased vibration. If you stick the column all the way up on your Slik and put your camera on there, what happens? ;)

I look at it and it looks good, but I wish I had caught his fin-tip too...he was gliding around fairly quickly, so it was hard to snag him in the light I was looking for AND frame it perfectly. I chose good light vs. perfect framing.

Nick just noticed this is the second time you have a deflated tire. Hopefully this solves that issue and it doesn't occur again.I'm hoping it solves the problem. My rear tire was down to about 50 PSI after two weeks though, but still much better than the front.

I need to run to the shop before Saturday though and pick up some more tubes. I have no spares right now :/

This one is creeping my eyes out...for some reason its fooling me into thinking the ground is slanted slightly to the right and the people in the middles are both tilting to the left as though they are compensating, but the guy on the far left isn't. It's messing with my head! I think it makes it more interesting to my eyes though. ;)

The plate is not as big as you think. :)

Its also expectations. I had a different vision of it. Then reality smacked when i got there. The reason why i think about it is because i would carry it on the side of my lowerpro slingshot 202aw. That tripods plate would make it protrude like crazy out unlike a tripod which reverse folds. Unless the gitzo reverse folds and i dont know about it.

Yeah, well only a small portion of the time was actually changing the tube, the rest was spent figuring out where the hole was, getting annoyed that I didn't check the night before etc etc :p

That and I was half asleep. It was also my only extra tube so I wanted to be extra careful not to pinch it. All in all it was a successful, albeit slow change.

My nephew and my sister's boyfriend's kid are outside playing. I have a kid's slide running down the stairs of the deck and landing in the dog's wading pool. Well, while I was on my graveyard shifts, I was reading a magazine called Caribbean: Travel & Life. There was a nice article in there on St. Lucia and what not. Anyways, There's a rather nice resort there that I would love to go to, but it's slightly out of my price range at the moment. :lol:
