But is it a robot in disguise?

No, not that i know of lol

The keyboard really helps you with accessing a lot of websites which were designed to be accessed by a computer, it works pretty seamlessly with most of the UI (The homescreen navigation is a little clunky with it but oh well) it also makes using most flash apps, such as video players much easier, and if anything else it gives you another 8 hours of usage on it (Seriously) meaning you now have a 16 hour usable tablet computer...

Not that i was finding 8 a particular hindrance, even with basically watching a ton of youtube and flash video on the thing which youd think would drain the battery faster than you can say apple...

I'm going to type up and perhaps even do a video review of it, i think it can be pretty useful for photographers actually

Lol, mine was also built in 06, just the previous owners messed up the carpet and took all the window treatments and fixtures...

We got these neat cell blinds... cost us over $2k, new carpets over $4k, granite countertops to replace the tile, over $3k...

Plus we needed washer, dryer, fridge, new sink (the old kitchen sink was small and was chipped)... all that cost money as well...

I have managed to convince my wife to wait until the next major sale to replace out range to SS.

Home improvements are sooo expensive especially if you them all at once.

So I saw Captain America the other day, it was fun, anyone else seen it?

Not yet... plan to soon.

Well.. time to finalize this build and get it ordered!

Put the OT to good use: DO IT! Heh. ;)

Well I just saved myself a good $150.

Swapped out the Corsair Ram for the low profile version which is $20 cheaper. And I remembered I still have some W7 keys from MSDNAA from when I was in school, so no need for an OS. :D

Grand total for my build ~ $1600

Intel 2600k
ASUS P8Z68 Pro Motherboard
Corsair Vengeance 16GB (4x4GB) DDR3 1600 Ram
ASUS GTX 570 CU II
OCZ Vertex 3 120GB
Antec HCP 1200w PSU
WD Caviar Black 3x1TB in Raid 5

You'd be surprised. The board/CPU sucks up power. The GPU sucks up power. Hard drives and if he adds another video card after will suck up more power. It all adds up.

Yes but Americans with children need to save for college funds, for JD's new daughter she will need at least $100,000 per year so for 4 year course, $400,000 in 2027 when she starts college. JD has to save over the next 16 years around $800 per month, assuming inflation will not raise tuition much more than double from today. Many students end up taking student loans or go to cheaper in state or community college.

Also home maintenance is large part of the monthly expenses.

There are educational funds, even tax free incentives, amount still high. CAP went bankrupt because actuary and pricing were wrong, too low premiums to cover inflation and tuition increases.

yeap that's true, I was one of the last scholars before they closed, and according to them the Educational Plan that I was on was one of the major cause of their bankruptcy... I was on a plan for exclusive schools wherein they pay almost 100% of my tuition fees except for my ID fee.

coz you concentrate too much on buying gear and thinking about getting the shot better if you have better gear.

the way I see it, in goodlight there is very little difference among cameras from the rebel line all the way to FF and even on majority of lenses if you are doing landscapes ...as you tend to shoot at f/8 and smaller aperture too.
