Yes but Americans with children need to save for college funds, for JD's new daughter she will need at least $100,000 per year so for 4 year course, $400,000 in 2027 when she starts college. JD has to save over the next 16 years around $800 per month, assuming inflation will not raise tuition much more than double from today. Many students end up taking student loans or go to cheaper in state or community college.
Also home maintenance is large part of the monthly expenses.
Hehe! I'm saving more than $800 a month. :)

This laptop has been wonderful. It worked quite well with Vista, but now with Win 7 I've had virtually no problems. Occasionally Vista didn't want to start-up after doing updates. The rig itself, an HP, has been quite good. My sister's Toshiba has already kicked the bucket and it's younger than this one. Now and then I have to open the case and do a hands on cleaning of the fan.
Someday when I have the spare cash I'll have Nick build me a desktop, but that'll be awhile.

Until you try Zeiss glass, it makes it difficult not to at least try all FLs. I've seen the sample thread here and it's very similar in rendering to the 35.

JD why did you not get the 35 F1.4? The 35 would be good for cityscapes.
As we all know, lenses with wide apertures are never sharp. So, I wind up stopping down to f2 or more to get more DOF. And if I ever get desperate in low light situations, I have the 24 1.4 and 85 1.2 for back up. With that in mind, I got the f2. As you can see, I really don't need f 1.4-f 1.8. :)
