Julian I have been waiting for you earlier today... after seeing some of Lik's video, I love to try Panorama.

when I checked RRS's site, I think I want a pano plate and an L-attachment to convert the panorama setup to an L-bracket too...

the clamp can be rotate either way

probably either the 18-135mm or 15-85mm or 17-85mm USM f/4.-5.6 :D

not sure which are better, but I am assuming its either the 15-85mm or 17-85mm :D
Cool thanks I'm not ready to buy just yet but would love an all around kinda lens like the 18-105
I won't buy a tent that's not a tub. My sister's isn't a tub. Tarp bottom and the nylon wall meets it right at ground level. Have to pay attention to where you put the tent, make sure the water is going to go away from it.

My tent is a tub with a poly taffeta floor. Comes with a ground sheet as well. Has a full rainfly as well.

This (http://www.rootsoutdoor.ca/details07660176.php) is my tent.

Very cool, I have the Kelty quartz 2 which is a 2 person but I'm a big boy and need the little extra room.

technically you will want a leveling base as well...either on top of the ballhead or below the ballhead...
http://reallyrightstuff.com/ProductDesc.aspx?code=PCL-1&type=0&eq=&desc=PCL-1%3a-Panning-Clamp

that setup is only good for Horizontal Pano and could double as an L bracket. but it can't do Vertical panos since its limited. but we rarely ever need vertical panos anyway so its not a big deal for me... and for you, you already have the L-bracket so you can do both vertical and horizontal pano

what I love about it is future proofing... I can use it with any camera I want and can knock it off for storage.

because the 17-55mm f/2.8 is the crop equivalent to the 24-70mm f/2.8.... but a lot of people complain about it being so expensive yet not built like L glasses.

You can always put them in your bag if you're worried about losing them. Honestly, it's very rare I use it unless the ground is really soft. So, if you plan to shoot in water, I highly recommend the ones I posted. :)

I was out at Ikea (which is a nice 45 minute drive from my house) and my card kept getting declined, and of course in the day and age of plastic, I did not have enough cash to cover the charges, so I left empty handed.

There are no calls from the fraud alert center, no alerts on my account, it just won't let me use my card.

I think that seals it, time to go credit card shopping.

Why? I get a dividend back and usually use it to buy stuff from REI. That's how I got my waterback pack. I only have three CCs. The REI Visa, Discover, and Amex. I'm not worried about the interest rate bcoz' I pay my CC in full when the bill comes. So, I don't see why you need to be so picky.

Yep... I tried calling the Lost/stolen number and they arne't open until Monday...

Those store credit cards are typically the worst to have. I'm kind of tempted by the Costco AMEX card though, but not entirely sure if I can get it as my costco membership is through my work.

wow!! really? I mean I can call 24hours anytime and there will be someone who would talk to me regarding credit cards or cellphone concerns, sometimes you just have to wait though...

btw, I find it funny that you guys "Shop" for credit card, most people here would apply for a few companies and hope they would be given one  yet you guys get to choose

nooooooooooo not the shifty-fifty, probably just get an 85mm f/1.8 usm and rock it, paired up with a 18-55mm or something like it and start saving for a more expensive lens the 10-22 focal length keeps grabbing my attention.

i need a camera.......

for $400 not sure what camera you could buy hehe...

They can have the worst affect on your credit, because typically they are the easiest to qualify for, so they are the ones that people with bad credit apply for.

If you've had it for awhile, I'm sure it's fine.

I'm not a huge fan of REI though, they have some cool stuff, and I'm a "member" there, but I hardly ever go there.

my wifes already got me figured out, shes just said,

Ok you buy a canon xsi and the 70-200L and then i give you 2 months and you'll trade it all for a used 5dc but you'll be short and be without a lens again, so you'll buy the 85mm and a few other lens and before i or you realize you'll have a 5d mark 3 and 3k in lens and that will last 6 months and you'll trade it all for a Nikon d3. So close out ebay and just spam the photo geeks website.

Steven i found a few Xs for 250-300 but i'm not ready to buy a camera just yet. I'm wondering what my wifes got up her sleeve for my suprise.

Well it looks like my Credit Union just decided to stop me from spending my money.

Wow. That doesn't sound right. I'd be pissed and going crazy as to what's going on.

exactly... I myself was not even given a credit card until recently... I can only declare $400/month as my salary. but I don't have all the necessary papers nor do I have utility bills under my name coz all are tied up to the company.

I gave them a copy of my company papers with my name on it, and I guess they don't believe a 24year old guy owns something like that, so I got denied on 4 tries. my last try was when I applied for a car loan under my own name and I just requested for a credit card and that's when they gave me one

I never looked into the Cash one. Any difference?Slightly different reward structure for a variety of things. The costco one still seems better. :)

Hmm not sure what you mean by that as you add on packets to that card to customize the kind of rewards you get. Amex and college credit card sounds wrong

I would expect that from a card with a revolving account but zinc needs to be paid in full every month just like the regular amex. Not the kind of card you want in college as it would destroy your credit if you cant pay off the balance at the end of the month.

Well I think it's more targeted at people that age who are looking to build/rebuild their credit.

College campuses would have these cc companies with stands and handing out freebies if you fill out an application. College kids are vulnerable since they need money for this and that. :(

Depends. The kicker with that card is this. You can easily get approved for it but that is not its purpose. Its purpose are those customizable packets. If you hit the spending of 5k on those categories you cash in on the rewards. Example being i travel a lot through out the year for work. I could charge the traveling to my amex zinc and easily rack up the 5k target. If you cant hit those 5k spending marks the card is really useless.
