I did not go for it, coz upon reading numerous threads and sites... I came to the conclusion that while the RRS tripods are better looking, more expensive and probably have a bit better construction quality BUT... it offers no performance gain any whatsoever from the Gitzo lineup.

so the $300 difference is justified by aesthetics and presumably better materials... but judging from a lot of Gitzo Owners I don't think a tripod as expensive as RRS is really necessary. $300 can't be justified performance wise.

and I am talking about the TVC-33 (which apparently is the Gitzo 5 series equivalent) against the 3541LS here....

of course, this is IMHO and from reading on the net... so take everything with a few grains of salt :D

yes but its only 140 for the rrs but i could have the stuff sent to my dads work in seattle and he could get it down for free;)

its funny, I was talking to the B&H rep earlier today at around 230am.... and apparently she heard me talking in english :lol:

when she woke up at around 9am, she called me up and asked me if I was talking to somebody in English at 230am or was she just dreaming about me talking in English :lol:
