Ok.... on 1x.com I don't think they allow much PP on Landscapes shots... Is that right? If it isn't I'd try to make a separate layer with the farther hills and increase the sat a little bit...

Yeah, I dunno what their PP rules are. I appreciate what you are suggesting though. The haze does create a desaturation and bluing effect on the hills. I kinda like that, though, as it creates a three-dimensional relationship of those items in respect to the fence and meadow.

1. the scene is boring
2. DOF is somewhat lacking, I mean I am not sure if you want the background to be in focus or not, if not, it lacks blurriness, if yes then it lacks DOF.
3.background is a bit hazy, I think you can still add some contrast to it.
4. the photo lacks pop

I have to agree with some of Stevens comments. Im not sure what your focus is here. It seems the rocks and fence are in focus but you lose out after that.
I think what would make this a stronger composition is if you move towards the right and used the fence as a leading line. This way we would know where you want us to look. Saturation is also a bit strong. Just my opinion.
I would definitely go back there as it has potential.

Yeah, I marked it on my GPS. The road totally sucks so I have to take the jeep next time (almost beat my GTI's suspension to death). I also have to wait until late September at earliest for the colors to be nice. Probably will have to try again in October, since I'll likely be overseas in September.

Tom, for me it is that there is either too much dead space with the sky, or too much dead space with the grassy fields. Esp with the fence there, you either look at the fence or the trees, and it lacks a killer instinct.

Haze (at least the way I understand it) is the visible degredation caused by atmospheric disturbance of light waves. I think what you are showing here shows haze, obviously, but also a lot of low-lying clouds (also known as fog).

So I woke up at 5:15am this morning for my ride, I walked out to check the tires on my bike. Rear tire is fine, the front is totally flat again. So I figure I'll just pump it up like last time... nope. There was a stupid hole in the tube... So I spent most of my riding time this morning swapping out tubes, but managed to squeeze in a 30 minute ride. Saturday is going to be miserable :/

Harm i like the 3rd and 4th shot. On the 1st shot if you played around with layers in PS you could lower the contrast on the cliff he is leaning on. Then bump him up in contrast. This way he will stand out more and the rocks would be less of a distraction.

Oy! I hate when people tell me its pretty simple when i dont have a clue so i will just say it follows along the same lines of your T/S edits. Just apply that same process to layering in the gorilla image.
1- Lower the contrast of the whole image
2- create layer mask
3- select brush tool
4- make sure color of the brush is black
5- paint over the gorilla only. This will bring back the gorillas color from the original image. aka masking him out from the lower contrast effect.
That is a quick run. Then you can adjust the scene without him. To boost him up you could do the same process but reversed.

Yeah, well only a small portion of the time was actually changing the tube, the rest was spent figuring out where the hole was, getting annoyed that I didn't check the night before etc etc :p
That and I was half asleep. It was also my only extra tube so I wanted to be extra careful not to pinch it. All in all it was a successful, albeit slow change.
Stop making excuses for taking two hours to change a tube :p
I understand what you did and doing it barely up doesn't make the process go any quicker! You just reminded me. Im running with only one spare tube. I need to go get another one!
Nick just noticed this is the second time you have a deflated tire. Hopefully this solves that issue and it doesn't occur again.

Holding 4-7 off suit is either lucky or gutsy. I'd fold that most likely. Then kick myself if good cards show on the flop, turn, river. ;)

As a synonym for "also," too can be used to mean "in addition," as in "She has six cats, and a dog too." It can mean more than what should be: "That child is too hyperactive!" Too can be used as a way to say "very" or "extremely," as in "She wasn't too stressed out about finishing her paper." In a less formal manner, many children (and adults) have been known to yell, "I am too!" when wanting to contradict someone.
To is the most difficult of the three to define, as it can be used in a variety of ways. It is most commonly used as a preposition, in many different ways. This word can express a direction or a destination, as in "He walked to the shoe store," or "We read from left to right." It can indicate a recipient: "He gave the slimy frog to her." To can express time: "Ten minutes to seven," or something that goes with or is a part of another object: "Where is the top to this jar?"
There are many other uses of to, as a preposition, adverb, and part of idioms, but it is generally much easier to remember the definitions of two and , and use to for everything else.
It does get confusing. Big thing to remember is that too replaces also. Me too! for example.

Walther PPK, is a small caliber pistol .380cal and not a good main gun...it is a fiction writers' way of misusing information. Jame's used even the smaller variant .320, like the .380's dont pack much power. Even 9 mm used by British special forces are not powerful enough that these SAS men shoot double tap all the time. Ppk is a good backup gun.
The other myth that mafia goons use 22 cal to assasinate only works if they shot close range at the nape of the victim.
.40 or .45 cal ftw.
