Actually the price has come WAY down since this morning. I think some bidders had their coffee and then noticed the word "box" ;)

The box can be flattened out and mailed in an envelop to save on postage but hey, there's not much you can do with the foam and that's where the price of the S&H is going! :D

Now don't forget, fellers, if you were trying to sell your lens, having the package could make a significant difference to price.

Hey Roger:

I agree 100%. It is definately a wise move for someone who wants to sell that lens to have a box for it. 5 or 10 dollars for a box, would make hundreds of dollars difference in the auction price of a lens.

Yup! But when I posted this post the price of the box was at a staggering $373.00!

I've put a bid on it,.


.......and I went to Adorama and ordered the same lens,. when the lens gets here I will put in a claim with UPS and substitute the Box filled with a bunch of broken glass! :)
