I really don't understand why Canon have not provided this feature, which is common among much cheaper cameras. The IXUS obviously has the capability to do this as the remote capture software that comes with it has a live viewfinder mode which displays video over usb.
Are there any 3rd party software applications out there that can use the IXUS as a webcam? I know a 4MP camera is complete overkill for such use, but it would be nice to have the functionality for when its sat around the desk doing nothing.
Any ideas?
