Hello Pekka and all,

I am a first-time poster on this board, but I am active on many other forum sites. I am just getting the 'beta' version of my upcoming website (www.SharpByCoop.com) sorted out with the help of Martyn Cooper (www.britishblades.com). I am a hobbiest photographer for the Custom Knifemaking world.

Your EE program is installed on my site, and I am getting more familiar with it. I, personally, can't do any hard coding of PHP or SQL (Hell, I don't even really know what they mean! :(), but I am in charge of maintaining the EE portion of my new site. What I mean is I am new at this.

I have uploaded well over 150 photo's in (4) sizes, and I have got them all to display properly. Three different categories so far. So far so good.

OK, so my question is--I have tried multiple times to get the header to show the filenames of my pics. I have set the default editor to show 'filename.ext' or just 'filename' or any of these. No good. Then reset. No good. Then delete and reinstall. No good.

Is there a way once the pics are installed to have it address this change? It is a PAIN to multidelete these pics and gallery's and then start anew. But I did a few times to no avail. Even reinstalling them and being careful to update the default settings, etc, it STILL don't show. What's the procedure?

Pekka, I want to thank you for what appears to be a fine program. I am certain I will get it sorted out with you guys help. Thanks in advance!

Coop

Coop,

Sorry for late reply but my system HDD crashed and it took a long time to get a new disk and get all running again.

It could be that there are bugs it that default header code, see http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=7594 but it should work for the most part - I'll check it out.

At the moment there is no way to force headers to be filenames at in 1.3. But as always it can be programmed and I will try to get this feature in next version.

Thanks, Pekka.

I have deleted and re-entered my Galleries a number of times. I have figured out how to get the 'filename.jpg' as a header. (Tip: disregard the default header option on creation, and make SURE you go to 'check default settings' upon 'adding new pics'. At this point you need to edit this feature, as it will change from anything that you have previously set.)

Going further, getting the pictures in a correct sort order is a frustration. For whatever reason it will not accept my original filename sorting, and is not responding to any further changes in sort order. I have set the 'misc settings to show 'Author's sort order', and have adjusted the numbers in author sort editing, but to no avail. Upon refresh it is still the same. Any tips or bugs here?

Thanks again,

Coop
