Looks about right to me.

I have NEVER been served food at any fast-food restaurant that looked ANYTHING like it did on ANY picture advertising it.

Have you?

One I like is the tv ad for the Ford Raptor doing high speed jumps. Now a bunch of owners of these trucks went out and tried the same thing only to bend their frames. Their thing is "well they did it on the commercial". Well the truck in the commercial more than likely either was modified to handle it or just jumped once. they are screaming that they want their trucks fixed under warranty. Well off roading damage generally isnt covered by warranty. neither is abuse.

Yes. I swear, every time that I head to my local Quiznos the sandwich comes out looking straight out of a commercial. It's incredibly surreal.

...tastes good too :p. And no, I do not work for Quiznos .

What?!! You guys don't believe there's truth in advertizing?!!

Surely you don't think McDonald's, Burger King, Taco Bell, Ford, et al. would lie to us?!!

Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to go pick up a bucket of semi-identifiable bird-like parts from my local Kentucky Fried Pigeon.

Nothing can come close to the cosmetic industry. Finally, someone has taken them to task. L'Oreal has had some ads banned in the UK for, basically, false advertizing (post processing).

Don't ever check out Secondlife in that case...
A place where a 45 year old, morbidly obese, hygenically unsound, emotionally and socially immature male can portray himself (probably very successfully) as a 20 year old, curvacious female sex goddess.

Then again, chat rooms are probably filled with just such creatures, all feeding off one another's illusions.

Truth in advertising will never be had - if you can teach your children that, their chances of a happy, fulfilling life have probably doubled.

I don't believe there's a local anything to you...

Local is relative. There's a KFC-Taco Bell a mere 25 miles away (give or take a couple).
