Hey guys, tooting my horn a bit. I knew a week ago that I'd won something, but didn't know what until I attended the reception and award ceremony tonight. This image won first prize in the 19-54 age group. I'm quite pleased as you might imagine.

Thanks Zacker and Pamela. I'd never actually entered a contest before, but ran across this one and thought it might be fun, inspirational and give me a focus. Apparently it worked. :)

I only wish I was. :) they call it the "big" category at the presentation......another couple of years and I get to enter in the geriatric category. :)

Thanks Sandi and Nactos. Yeah that 19-54 thing was daunting when I saw it, thought I wouldn't have a chance, but it worked out I guess. I'm am going to have to find out how many entries they had. They had about 12 in each category on display...

Thanks Mark. Don't be jealous, your work (and most here) is just as good or better, I just happened to enter what the judge liked :) There's always a bit of luck involved. The grand prize winner was a similar pic (from the same spot just a different composition and perspective - looking more towards Denver).
