Can anybody tell me why I am getting no names of the members in the side bar as I look through threads?
All I get is the little icon picture they put there and for their name I get a bunch of Alien Heads for the characters.
New to digital photograghy and computers.
Thanks for the help!

I also don't know what's going on or understand what could be happening. A screenshot would help a lot.

I vaguely see them.. Alien heads above MattyB's avatar... ?
Honestly bubyea,. we just assumed you were nuts! http://members.bellatlantic.net/~vze2hdzu/pics/kukoo.gif
I certainly can't explain it.. Must be government mind control? Seriously,. I'd scan for spyware,. big time. Whatever it is,. out of 80,000 some odd people this is a first,. so I would have to assume it is a local probelm.

My guess is that busbyea doesn't have that font installed.
Hmm, but the style for bigusername seems to be just 14pt Sans Serif... Odd.
busbyea, what browser do you run? And version? Can you try accessing with a different browser, like Internet Explorer?
Or, try going into your browser's options and set the fonts back to the default choices. Perhaps you picked a bitmapped Sans Serif, or something like that?

Can you crop the picture and make it a bit bigger so we can actually see it?

Empty your web browser cache, restart your browser, then hold control and shift while you hit reload. Might help, might not.

Aliens are a warning I think.

I'm glad this was solved. The thread title is a winner, no doubt.

Well I'm glad the problem was dodged by using Firefox.
But did you try some spyware scan/disinfectant?
