View Full Version : Powershot S2 IS remote trigger?

Been wondering is there a way ,apart from self timer to trigger the shutter on the S2 IS ie a cable or remote unit, would be handy to be able to avoid camera shake on button press and any movement of the camera when on a tripod.

I think the self-timer is the only practical choice. I guess if you are taking a series of images you could use the intervalometer to snap a new picture every x seconds or minutes automatically. I don't have the user manual handy, and can't recall if you can also use a PC connection to the camera to trigger images... not usually the simplest way, however.

Yes you can fire the canon via computer...I'm a proud new owner of one and was playing around with that the other night.

Can't wait to get it outside on a nice sunny day. It's rained ever since I got it.......omen????
