Hey all,

Looking for a "pouch" type bag that would clip around your waist instead of sling over your shoulder.

Mainly I want it to hold a 75-300mm 4.5f zoom (for fast changes) and a few other small pieces of gear ( my battery charger, mem cards, remote switch, a few filters, perhaps the 580 EX in a pinch.

The main reason for this bag is to hold all the essentials but to have a low profile at a wedding. I dont want large bags to pick up all day, everything in one package. I hold the camera flash and bracket,...and an extra lens and gear in "pouch".

But no shoulder straps!

Any ideas?
Cheers

Joel

You might take a look at a modular system like this one http://www.photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?p=676142#post676142 only without the camera bag. Both Tamrac and Lowepro have similar systems that let you tailor it to your needs.

I have Domke f902 pouch for lens (up to 70-200 with hood) and f945 for flash, spare battery for 1d, cards etc. Beside this I have Canon CPS belt bag for rest of stuff and I'm done. For my shooting (pretty much only sport) shoulder bags are out of question and bagpack is not really nice since all of a sudden you are too "fat" to squeeze on side of track, and it's not really comfortable for constant take out/put in stuff. If you need some more protection check lens pouches from Lowepro or Tamrac, since Domke pouches are canvas only without any padding. But for me it works better, since it's smaller.
