View Full Version : Is it okay to keep hanging here w/o a Canon?

I am leaving the world of Canon ( G2) and entering the unchartered territory of Olympus. ( C-8080WZ) This came about from the reviews I've read re:8MP point and shoots and the oppurtunity to get an almost new C-8080 for a very good price. I'm assuming my pics will still be welcome here at POTN?

I'll be happy to fill ya in when I get it. It's coming by courier and is expected to arrive tomorrow. I pray its as nice as everything I've read about it.

There are others out there with non-Canon cameras. They keep a low profile:)

I won't hold it against you. This is a photography site. The only downfall is that if you have technical questions about the camera itself, very few people will be able to help with Olympus.

I'm sure you'll love the 8080! I'm an Olympus fan too. I have a C-5060WZ and have always loved the quality of the photos and I looked seriously at getting the C-8080 also. But, because of the lure of an SLR I chose to go Canon with the 20D and I love it.

Having a SLR really enables me to get any lens I want and that's a big plus.

Enjoy your C-8080! There are forums dedicated to Olympus but you'll always be welcomed here too!

Doesn't matter ... we'll just continue to try to convince you to upgrade to a Canon DSLR eventually :wink:

Not a problem with me. My first 2 months here, I used a Sony V1, and shared a few pics. Seemed to get more replies and views with that little camera, than now with my 20D. :lol:
