A lady told me "Believe me I can be your black box” I know she meant something. Is this common expression? What is the definition for black box rather than being advice available on all aircrafts?

Maybe "black box" = computer or info center? OTOH... ;)

Was this a context sensitive comment or are we talking about a total stranger walking up to you in the steet and making random statements?
