Greetings, all. I am experiencing difficulties downloading/copying MVI files from A630 to laptop and external drives. This problem does not occur consistently - I have been successful 90% of attempts, but now have two files that I can watch on A630 screen but when I download/copy to laptop/drive the file does not copy successfully (0 byte file). Also have similar problem with my wife's Elph.

These are videos of my newborn daughter, I would like to save/recover if at all possible. THANK YOU!

Tom P.

Never had that problem so I'm just gonna throw a wild guess out:
When I copy video files from my SD card and then paste them into a folder on my computer, there are two files for each clip. Simply pasting the MOV file won't work, I have to do both files with that file number. If I were to delete the 2nd file (can't remember what the suffix is), the MOV file won't play on my computer.

Thank you for your response. I have (from what I can see) only MVI file format. This is an inconsistent problem: As stated, most of the time I am able to simply copy or drag from camera to My Pictures. However, I now have 3 files that are "stuck" in camera - When I try to bring these over to My Pictures (or any other folder/location) the files will not migrate successfully (file name with 0 bytes is all I get). But, these files (videos) can be viewed within camera. I do not have a card reader, so not able to troubleshoot otherwise...

Any help greatly appreciated!

Make sure you didnt lock the files, which is an option during playback.

Chippy - Thanks for input. Your suggestion got me thinking about some other options that might be available and I was able to copy files (videos) to laptop using the "Scanner and Camera Wizard" (rather than copy and paste). Not sure why these particular files are exceptions, but it works so I'm not complaining!

Thanks again.
