Please give me some feedback on this portrait. It was taken in Spain of a farmer I met. Taken on Canon 10D

It's a great example and use of B&W...nice look, but I would like to see it a litle larger on screen..

Great shot Greg.
The B&W captures the character of the subject. Eye contact is great.
As Peachman says I would like to see it a little larger.

It's a nice shot, Greg. Perhaps a little too contrasy. What did you use to convert to B&W ? I find that in photoshop, switching to monochrome in the Channel Mixer window yields the best results.

Is that the full image, or is it a crop ? I would either crop right into the eyes (he has great detail around his eyes), or make sure the whole hat is in the frame.

The lighting is nice and even.

Very nice shot of an interesting man. I don't mind the contrast, but it seems odd to me that the underside of his hat brim and his forehead are so bright.

Nice shot but the crop is a little to tight and the posted picture to little.
