Problem with S200 Canon Elf. Need help.

When my Powershot S200 is in the shooting mode, the image on LCD screen is blurry and looks like a two colored one (white and blue) and almost indiscernible. When I take pictures anyway, they come out as a red/green specter – nothing more. The old pictures on the card look fine in the view mode. The problem occurred all of a sudden without any apparent cause. A couple of days ago my camera was working just fine. Any suggestions, please?

this sounds a lot like what happened to my S2 two weeks ago. I talked to the people at Canon support - they said it sounded as though the camera had had a short. I had to send it in for warranty work - got it back today. They never included any information as to what was actually wrong with it.
