having read the thread about the guy winning the comp and getting his photo published on hallmark's cards - got me wondering

who's won a comp before? how many? where? who? when?

if you have multiple wins - which are you most proud of?
internet comps, TV comps, etc etc - post up!

personally, i've won nothing so far, haha

I guess mine is when I came second in the Digital Picture of Britain competition run by the BBC.

I placed third and Grand in a local amatuer photo contest the first month that I had my camera.... won enough money to buy a zoom lens for my camera :) The funny part was that Long Face was one that I entered just for the heck of it... I honestly didn't think anyone else would give it merit ;)

i only been in to photography for 3 weeks , well taking pictures for 3 weeks i been into photography for years just looking at the images, sam how old are you? guitarist i love that rebels picture its really nice.

Thanx :) You know ... it's funny.... even though I know more about the art now then I did back then.... I still find myself going back to my first shots as my favorites :) It's hard, when you dive into a world of art... to not become influenced by all you see around you. I think my earliest stuff is 100% me.... and I want to get back to that and just refine it :)

Out of 6 photos I entered in the local fair I got a first, a second, and two thirds :) Oh did I mention the totally awesome prize money of $19!? ;)

local contests are fun, It shows you what people in your same area can come up with.

Agree, I had a blast doing the Sand Creek Competition and was actually more interested in seeing the other photos as in winning anything. :)
