I just received my 10D and I can't seem to make the exposure comp. work. I followed the instructions. any suggestions?

Can you say a bit more about what you are doing and what you expect to happen?

Not sure what shooting mode you have the camera set to but...

Set the dial on top of the camera to Av (aperture priority) or Tv (shutter priority). Made sure that the switch just above the big wheel on the back of the camera is set to "on" not to "off". Look thru the viewfinder and touch the shutter button once. With your thumb roll the big wheel on the back of the camera a click or two and you will see in the viewfinder that the exposure compensation is indicated on the scale at the bottom of the viewfinder (and also in the LCD on top of the camera).

Hope that helps. My guess is that you were using a shooting mode that doesn't allow exposure compensation or you had the switch that controls the wheel turned off.
