I have a Powershot S1 IS and I was wondering if this Canon FS-28U Filter Set (http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/proddetail.asp?logon=&langid=EN&sku_id=0665000FS10043996&catid=)
would do the same thing as a polarized filter. It sais it decreases glare from the sun, so I would think the colors would be a little more saturated. Is there any difference?

No one knows?

If there is any polarizer-like effect, I think it must be minor. One of those filters is simply a gray neutral-density filter to reduce the amount of light entering the lens. I think the other is merely multi-coated clear glass to protect the front element of the lens. I think if you want saturated colors, you need a true polarizer -- which may not help in every case -- or use software to boost the color level.
