Pictures from 10D to computer

Hi all,
I was taking some pics Saturday, at Heathrow Int'l Airport in London and it seems that there is a rather big discrepancy between the pic I get on the LCD screen and that whcih is downloaded from the CF card to the computer. The ones on the LCD screen look like they shout and the ones on the computer look awful :( , way too dark, and black and white! Where's the colour? I am looking at the difference and with some enlargement on the one pic in camera, I can tell you the reg on the BA plane is "G-EUUG" and another is SuisseAir, "HB-IJP" again from in camera. I was able to reclaim a few of the pics that I took from various programs. Later that same day I was shooting sunsets and again look great in camera, but junk in computer. I am usinge the stuff supplied w/ the camera to sort it. Any ideas??? I'm reconing I might have to send it back to Canon to sort it. However, this is the cool bit about digital, just chuck the junk ones out and keep the best!
Btw, how do you attach pics to the msg? I can show you what I'm talking about if I knew how...

ARe you shooting RAW or JPEG?

The help pages will tell you how to post images.

There's not a lot to go on here but perhaps: (?)

1) Viewing Adobe RGB files in an sRGB-only app?

2) Wrong Gamma?

3) Badly calibrated monitor? (or wrong monitor profile)

4) Looking at camera LCD at wrong angle? Like all LCDs, the brightness changes based on the angle of view.)

I was shooting JPEG, and Av fir now as I'm waiting to ring Canon USA for the Sigma Lens issue.

Answers:
1) I was using the software provided w/ camera, in Adobe RGB Colour.
2) I doubt the gamma was set wrong, it was really thick cloud cover though but compensated for it.
3) Monitor is fine, took some pics today of some stuff that has lots of colour and seems to be fine w/ flash.
4) I was straight on w/ LCD, I am aware that brightness depends on angle.

Does the camera software support viewing Adobe RGB? I've never used it so I don't know.

First off, you shouldn't be going by the lcd to determine the quality of your image. The Lcd on the 10D is VERY bright. I have actually turned it down to the min, just to have a more realistic looking image in the lcd. As long as you go by your histogram and obtain a proper exposure, you shouldn't have any problems getting eyestopper images or prints. How are your settings in camera? Is your monitor calibrated? Having your monitor calibrated is about 99% of a solution.
