With the possibility of adding lenses to the s45 with adapter, I am seeking advice about the best 37mm lenses for macro, wide angle, and tele-photo shots. Thanks!

I'm using the Tiffen +7 and +10 37mm macro lenses with my S30, and they work well. I also purchased a 2x Tiffen Telephoto lens from Ebay for a good price, and the Telephoto is excellent! It doesn't seem to diminish the image quality at all. The Tiffen macros actually improve clarity over using the built-in macro.

I know there are a lot of other 37mm lenses and filters for digital cameras. Check out www.bugeyedigital.com and http://www.steves-digicams.com/kenko_8x32.html for some reviews. The Kenko 8x32 telephoto lens is impressive.

I may be wrong, but won't any lens work with a 37mm adapter (given you have the 37mm lens adapter for your camera)? From what I can tell, most digital camera wide angle or telephone lenses seem to be fixed in terms of distance and focus. The Kenko 8x32 lets you adjust zoom and focus, but I imagine it is difficult to fine-tune the focus with the LCD unless you purchase an LCD shade+magnifier. The optical zoom on most digicams will be blocked by a zoom lens. The Tiffen 2x telephoto is not adjustable and focusing is not an issue unless I'm too close to something.
