I have just seen this lens advertised for £225 + £10 p+p. Is this a good price and would it be a good choice over the f1.8. thanks.

It's about average for UK price, i have that lens myself. It's worth every penny

OneStop sell it for £225 with free p&p, but with such a little difference I'd buy it from the UK.

Considering the lens is about 325 euros in Germany, where most things Foto are 20-30% cheaper, the UK price is pretty good.

There's another issue with lenses that one-stop sell with international warrenties. If you check Canons site out and check their info on warrenties, it will tell you you must have a valid store receipt when sending off an item for repair under warrenty.
You don't get much a an invoice from one-stop be interesting to see what would happen if somebody has sent a lens of for repair that came from them. If anybody has please let us know

Is that the same for Sigma lenses, it says they come with international warranties. I hope it's valid.
