Hurricane Irene Surf photos from Jax Beach

So the family and I headed over to Jacksonville Beach to watch the surfers have their fun in the building waves from Hurricane Irene this evening. Looked pretty good with mostly 7's and a few 9's here and there. Going to try and make it back in the morning for more shots.

I'm not a surfing fan, but those are some nice shots.
Were you on a boat or jetski taking these?

looks like he was on the pier..i'll be there in the morning to catch the leftover waves..nice shots!

Yep, I was shooting from the pier. I might try to make it back out at daylight. The light will be from the wrong direction though so I'm not sure how that will work out.
