adding images to video and they look blurred

Hi,

Have to put a mash together of company photos in a video in FCPX


When i add the images they appear blurred when playing but if i pause the video they look ok?


why?

do i need to prep the images or sumfin?

do they look blurry after exporting? It might just be a preview thing.
Oh, are you using an interlaced format? That might cause it to blur.

I have reduced the image size and it seems to help

Yeah, when you're in 1280x720 fcpx would have to reduce the resolution of the image quite a bit. I remember the older fcp versions doing this as well.

Check to see if the resolution is 300dpi in the photo.
