The first two are amazing.... The first has one has to be my fav though. Very nicely done, and a clear night too.

Where on earth was the vantage point for #1? Were you in / on a unit complex? Lovely clarity on this shot too.

They are beautiful - that old tree grabs me the most though - beautiful lighting on that.

Thanks guys, the first shot kinda steals the limelight from anything else...I should have posted it on it's own :p Vantage point was just inside the council fencing on the New Farm side, a pretty cliche angle of the Story Bridge but I had to shoot it with lightning.

Here's another two from yesterday, got about 30 in this tree series but won't bore you with them all. I'm really starting to wish I had a 17-40 and 10-22 in the bag now :(

Excellent photographs. #1 and #4 are exceptional. I also like the other 2 tree shots at the end of the thread. I hope that tree is protected, it is simply beautiful. On the first photo I was wondering if you used a cross sceen filter ( love the lightning in this shot BTW)

The last one does it for me. Wonderful. About 6 hrs back I met Ken Duncan and looked over his mobile gallery. Your capture compares pretty well; all you need is that $$$ panorama camera he uses!

Thanks guys, Ken Duncan- Now that's a big bloody call Ross :o :o ty ....he's a master and a massive Australian inspiration of mine along with Peter Lik and Steve Parish. With lots of funding and another 15 years experience I'd like to produce work even half as good as theirs :D

For now I'll stick to sharing my 6 months of experience with the mighty kit lens on web galleries and forums....I don't even include a byline or copyright

By contrast, I love the last three much more than the first two :)

Particularly the tree (#4) the lighting is incredible, great capture!

and I'm always a sucker for old barns/farms.

Thanks Kenny, Ken Duncan's work can be found at the below link...I really want to purchase his limited edition book but at $1500 I'd have to sacrifice my L savings. :p
