Outside fill flash 430ex?

Hey guys, I'm really lost and confused on this one.. I need a flash for outside fill flash and catchlights, Will the 430 ex be strong enough for this? I will be shooting normally 1 to 2 people but I also may need it for group a shot of no more than 7 people. I've been looking at the 550ex, Which some say with the D60 may be very inconsistant, the Metz 54 MZ 3 which alot of reviews with D30 and D60 cams say it works great on auto and the 580ex which is just alittle out of my price range, but may be forced to go this route. So I'm just wondering will the 430EX do what I need it to do?

well i have the 420 EX which is plenty strong enough, but then again, it depends on how far away you are I guess, but you will experince the wonderful world of nevec I suspect, too bad, good luck. If you need to know more on that, look for a post called fill flash help.
