What would be the best model of converters to use with my 10D and my Canon 70-200 L 2.8 glass. With the suggested converter what would be the fast f-stop I can achieve?

Use the Canon converters which are designed to work with the "L" glass exclusively.
The 1.4 X converter will decrease the aperture opening by one stop to f/4
the 2X converter will stop your aperture down by two full stops to f/5.6
In both cases,. since you are starting with that nice f/2.8 minimum stop,.. the lens will work very well with the converters. For that very reason,.. many people use the 1.4x and 2x with that lens in particular.

Is there a specific model number for the L lens series? What are their costs if you know
