I went out to shoot the last of the fall coloers at our local public gardens today. Boy was that a mistake! I could not walk ten feet without hitting another photographer or a wedding party having their wedding shots taken there! After awhile, I just resigned myself to having a seat on a bench and watching it all unfold. At one time, there were four seperate wedding parties on the grounds., It was like the Sharks and the Jets, albeit very well dressed, swooping around the park trying to claim "their turf " for the photos! And at the center of it all was the queen bee, the bride!

Anyway, here are a couple of shots of the wedding parties posing on my favorite bridge in the gardens. In the first one, you can see the beginnings of another wedding party waiting their turn (not so patiently) for the bridge. Since the photographer had them all set up so nicely, I decided to take a couple of quick snaps myself!:D :D

both of theses are handheld and not too sharp, but kind of fun anyway! Let me know what you think!

Wow, I can see why everyone wants to shoot at your spot! What a location and so much nicer still from the colors! At least you got some good shots of the "shooters"!

Very nice looking at a wedding from this perspective actually. And those colors, man. We don't get anything like that in South Florida. I'm gonna get you guys back for posting all these wonderful Fall shots. Just wait a month or two when it's snowing up north. That's when I'll start posting pictures of the "beautiful people" on South Beach in their bikini's. ;)

Joel, That is hilarious!

I can assure you it will be absolute torture seeing people on the warm beaches, especially when it gets below zero and a wind chill of 30 or 40 below!

My favorite part of this post

Seems like a lovely place to take pictures. Warm and beautifull colours.

Nice shots, but #1 made me smile.... all the ladies had talked the guys out of their coats. Must have been a tad "cool".

Peapicker, it wasn't so much that the second group got better light, thay just got better white balance! I had the wrong setting on my camera, but it was just for fun so I didn't bother to correct it!
