I've done a couple of critiques on this board. Let's see if I can take it myself! Here's my first post:

I know... you can see my feet next to the nameplate. Don't you sign your work?

Your shot is good. Good perspective and good lighting.
Your feet of course should not show in the chrome
but if it's your Rolls I forgive you.
(You can clone the reflection out if you wish.)

Excellent shot and I agree with eland, unless you are going to have those shoes in every shot, Andy ;).

I like the shot.
One tip I have to make it better.
Perhaps you could straighten out the photo. The Grill seems crooked to me. Also, I think that it would look better if the hood ornament was centered. I know that the best photos are not always straight and centered, but that seems like it would work well for this pic.

Thanks so much for the comments! It's difficult to get solid critique about picky details... and, of course, picky details are what separate the merely good from the great!
Eland: No, not my Rolls! Belongs to a friend I work with. I just came out the door and there was the car... so I took the shot. I'm new to digital photography (just got my G3 in late April), so I'm not accustomed to using the LCD instead of the viewfinder just yet. Hard to see the level of detail I'm used to. So I try to compensate by, instead of taking just a couple of shots as in film, snapping 8 or 10. Hey, it's just electrons, right?
"Pappy" Peter: I don't think I'll include my shoes in EVERY shot! Hahaha! I'll try to work in my thumb, my shadow, and other types of reflections in the future!
YogaD: I agree with you. One of the things that bothered me about this shot (besides the shoes, obviously) wasn't necessarily the hood ornament, but the horizontal grill lines. (Actually, the not-quite-horizontal grill lines!) Incidentally, nice shots of Utah on your website! I lived there for a couple of years in the 80s... a photographer's paradise.
Since I shot this on the spur of the moment (isn't that usually the case?) I'll try again on another day with dramatic clouds. Has to be pretty soon, though, or the tree will be too leafy to make an interesting reflection.
Thanks again!
