Think this fly had been to modelling school, It kept on striking different poses for me. All taken at 1.5:1 uncropped.
Composite of nine consecutive shots- I didn't change shooting position significantly.

Thanks RockOne, I was actually trying to get a series of images for focus stacking but the fly kept moving between shots :D

Thanks BE.
Think I'd need about 100 images for a fly eye view;)

Nice serie of fly shots Brian.
I really like the big picture that is outstanding.
The edge of the wing is perfect as well as the head.
There is a funny thing you can do, it is a gif animated picture.
I did that once with the ants and it is funny.
I think that multiple shots of a fly cleaning his eyes with the front legs will be
something very interesting .
The problem is to get multiple shot and the fly body not moving too much.
If you dont know how to do the animated gif, I volunteer :) ( if you want and have the pictures )

Thanks Jose for the comments,
Think I know how to do animated GIFs using adobe Imageready. I'm actually thinking of trying to take some stereo pair images for a laugh. Interestingly I have seen animated GIFs used for displaying stereo pair images- you get a quivering stereo image. Main problem with taking pics for an animation is my flash recycle time is not fast enough. Might be able to do one of a snail though :)
