Shot during our makeupworkshop, I only have a few seconds per model but this one jumped out to me so I wanted to share.

Nice color, nice lighting, nice make up, but why do I keep thinking it's a guy in drag? No offense to the model.

I am just reading "The Naked Woman" where the author of "The Naked Ape", Desmond Morris explains the significance of the eyebrows. They are a sexual (surprise!) sign. Thin, finely curved eyebrows signal femininity and bushy ones masculinity.

In the old times, nurses were prohibited to pluck their eyebrows in order to not emit sexual signals to the sick and disabled... Still, female police officers leave their eyebrows as they are to maintain authority!


Here the "it" of the picture is the contrast between the suggestive red mouth and the bushy eyebrows...this lady knows what she wants and knows how to make you want it too....

the lightsources are diffused indeed.

don't think so.
However the makeupartists are in training so the makeup is not perfect yet.

I like it. Looks like they are pointed at the model in a V type pattern behind the camera.
