Hello
as so many other people here i also got the focussing probs.
i already got my second cam. the first was exchanged because of focussing problem at the shop i bought it (after i had to wait for about a month because canon wouldn't ship any).
I got my second one now and i still got the problem, but only with my sigma lens.
go to: http://www.egocat.com/canon/sharp2/
you will see 2 crops with exif data
so did anyone of you have a similar problem with a sigma lens?
I also got another problem with the new cam: there is a line of 4 blue pixels in each picture. you notice them mostly when using high iso setting (400 and above)
go to : http://www.egocat.com/canon/
for examples..
all in all i must say that i am pretty disappointed with my canon camera until now. Before that i used to work with minolta si 600 classic analogue cam and was quite happy for several years with that...
to me it also seems that autofocus isn't always working accurately on canon. you could take 2 photos of one object with same settings and the one would be sharp the next one out of focus.
another problem is also that when trying to set the focus manually, i actually never get it right. it looks ultrasharp in the viewfinder and looks way blurry on photo.
does anyone have any ideas what i might do wrong? is there a difference in autofocus between minolta and canon?
any help would be welcome
thanks a lot
