Still room for more lights

I thought I had quite a few lights on my GoldWing but these guys beat me hands down, sorry for the poor quality but it was dark and I didn't have a tripod; use a flash and you loose the effect of the lights. Any one got any tips (except the usual "use a tripod") on taking bright things at night I'd be happy to listen, not too much techno babble please I'm still relatively new to SLR's and all that goes with 'em (moved up from a Fuji s602 zoom) and the 20D spends most of it's time set on "P".

I'd add some fill flash, if possible off camera and at reduced power - maybe even with a coloured filter or two on the flash. But if you didn't have flash or a tripod you did just fine! :-)
