What is in the box- G3

I'm ready to order my G3 but after looking at the offical Canon site and several other places, I can't seem to find the battery charger for the G3. Does it come with it? Or do I have to buy it seperately.

You have to buy it seperately. Apparently the camera can act like a charger however I have never tried it. I got my charger from www.thomasdistributing.com

I got the Lenmar Mach, turbo...something like that. It is very fast with the charging.

The above link is the charger I bought. Great service as well. Oh by the way...get an extra battery. It is nice to have around.

Actually, the camera comes with an A/C adapter which will charge your battery when it is in the camera. It's pretty standard (and simple) to do it this way.

I wouldn't spend the money on a seperate charger unless you are going to be using multiple battery packs.

I guess the answer depends on what you mean by a battery charger. The G3 does come with an AC adapter which will charge the battery in the G3 but it won't charge the battery outside of the of the G3.

thanks, that explains a lot. I currently have an s30 and it came with an externial charger so the lack of one with the G3 had me confused.
