heres some of the photos i took at the World Record attempt at 2000 guitarists playing one song
unfortunately only 500 turned out, but it was still interesting.

the sky isn't blown out - it WAS white. haha, hugely overcast summers day.

sorry about the lack of info, i didn't quite know what was going on
i don't know who the band is, i think it's just a local band.
they played a bunch of rock songs
and the crowd (and band) all at once played 'smoke on the water'.

even the little kid played it, i was impressed.

haha, well documented event. i personally never enjoy taking pictures at daytime concerts. for me its the surreal lighting of night and indoor concerts that make the events fun to photography. I'm in an ensemble with 3 other guitists at school and I thought that was too many! 500...wow...

btw, i like the first picture alot. one thing i would point out is something dwigth mccann said in another thread which is that if you cut an instrument off towards the end it looks like the shot was poorly framed. otherwise its a great shot.

thanks Ryan, you're right - i didn't actually enjoy shooting the event, but i enjoyed shooting the people.
i was constantly cursing the masive white cloud behind the stage that was stuffing my shots.

i've recieved an email from the organisers, and i'm going to give them my photos to use (for free) - free because it was a charity event, to raise money for breast cancer.

This must have been a fun event! What did they play? It looks like Elvis has had too many peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. Great captures!

they played "smoke on the water", the easiest thing to play on a guitar, haha
